Current situation

The village mosque was not allowed to operate as intended. After the deportation to Azerbaijanis in 1988, the mosque building was destroyed by Armenians

Information:

The Arafats were Muslims by faith. In the village, the Shiite and Sunni population lived amicably, and in general, the issue of madhhab and branch were never on the agenda. On the contrary, Shias and Sunnis were very commonly related to each other. There was a mosque in the village. However, during the Soviet rule, the mosque was confiscated and it was not allowed to be used as a mosque. To prevent it from being turned into a barn, the villagers made it a granary. For some time, a cheese factory operated in the warehouse .
