After the 1988 deportation, some of the monuments in the village were destroyed and the rest were Armenianized.
The Gullubulag cemetery was the ancient home of the Turkic-Oghuz tribes. In the so-called ancient cemetery, there are many horse and ram tombstones. In addition, inscriptions and images of Albanian and various Turkic tribes were found on some tombstones. In Gullubulag there were many toponyms related to the names of national heroes: Koroglu cave, Nigar valley, Nabi River, etc. In the village there were mosques, pirs, pilgrimages and ancient grave monuments. Gullubulag village was the largest village of Amasiya (Aghbaba) region of Western Azerbaijan. Azerbaijanis lived in this village until 1988. After the 1988 deportation, Armenians from Bogdanovka region of Georgia settled in Gullubulag village.
