After mass resettlement of Azerbaijanis in 1988, the place remained unvisited.
Until 1988, Azerbaijanis lived in the village. In the upper part of Gollu village, in the area called the plain, there was a big stone called Khidir Nabi grandfather’s the sacred place. The people would preserve this stone as a holy place, make a vow to the shrine, and make sacrifices. It was one of the places most believed and visited by the people of Gollu and surrounding villages 31. Within the borders of Azerbaijan, the Armenian church has paid more attention to the Armenianization of our emotional and spiritual (sacred) traditions, our sacred places, which have a special place among the material and spiritual wealth of our ancient history, or otherwise to their destruction.
Khidir Nabi grandfather’s sacred place was one of the famous shrines of Western Azerbaijan. It was the place where the people made vows and made sacrifices throughout the year.
